6 Months Old = Emotional Mommy

Today is a very sad day for me, my precious baby is 6 months old today. Time has flown by, I remember thinking those first few weeks that I was not cut out for motherhood and I could not wait for her to get old enough to hold her own bottle and sleep through the night and now I wish so much that she was still that tiny little infant who was so helpless and needed me so much. I know that she is still semi-helpless and she still needs me, but she is getting so independent. Blaine and I are so blessed to have such a beautiful and healthy baby, even though she is still trying to get that tooth in, she is such a joy. Reese has changed my life so much and has changed my priorities, she amazes me everyday and I can not imagine my life before her, I never knew that I would be capable of loving something so much. Last night I was rocking her to sleep and I just broke down and cried thinking about how much my life has changed in the last 6 months and I just thanked God over and over again for her and that mean little tooth, she probably thought her mommy was crazy, crying the whole time I was giving her a bottle, usually she is the one crying. We are truly blessed, I read somewhere that children are like your heart walking around outside of your body, I never really understood that until I had a child and now it totally makes sense! Well, if I am this emotional at the 6 month mark, there is no telling what a year will be like! I attached some photos from the day she was born, and one I took this morning on the way to school, she is such a pumpkin head and we love her so much!

TEETHING = MONSTER BABY

Reese is cutting a tooth and she wants to make sure everyone in the Hattiesburg and surrounding areas knows it! The last few days I have seriously wondered if she is really my child or could we swap her out for a nice new sweet baby..just kidding, however she has been very vocal about her new tooth. I can not imagine how one tiny little speck of enamel can make a once sweet happy baby turn into a demon! We love our little demon baby, but we are very ready for our new tooth to make its debut. I can only imagine if this is what the next few months is like, if only one tooth causes this much havoc in the Tyrone household, what will a whole mouthful be like..I sure hope Hattiesburg has a stock pile of red wine for mommy. I am sure our patience will prevail, and by next tooth it will be a piece if cake!

Queen of the Covers

Does this sleeping arrangement look familiar to anyone? We are having a serious problem with Reese waking up in the middle of the night, drinking a bottle and sleeping the rest of the night with us! This would be all nice and sweet, however she is a bed hog, and spreads her arms out across our faces. If we make the smallest move she starts making crying noises, so you can imagine how much sleep we are getting at the present time...We need a cure for fussarella, or else Blaine and I will become real life walking zombies!

Happy Fathers Day!

"Wii" Love Daddy!

I finally broke down and bought a Wii, let me tell you it is the greatest invention since baby Einstein, it is total husband entertainment. I will admit that I did love to play it, my arm was sore this morning from playing tennis . I highly recommend this purchase, it is so much fun and you actually feel like you are getting a workout..is that bad that I broke a sweat bowling?? We had a great Fathers Day, Reese was a sweet girl most of the day and then her teeth started to hurt, she let everyone know inside Gander Mountain ( Hattiesburg's Bass Pro Shop) just how much they hurt, people were staring at me as I was pushing her around frantically looking for Blaine, by this time I had put at least 3 stuffed animals in her car seat for her to play with, all which belonged to Gander Mountain, she would drool on them, rub them on her face and then throw them at me, sorry to who ever buys the crusty monkey, black lab, and fish toys..I could hear people saying "oh that poor baby" as Reese was having her total meltdown and I was on my way to my own meltdown! We finally got her out of the store and in her bed, that was pretty much the end of Fathers Day for her!

Swimming is Tough Business!

We took Reese swimming again this weekend, we went to Nana & Papaw's and of course Reese had a great time, she loves the water. We would put her in her floating lily pad and she would kick and have the best time, Blaine and I both agree that they should make these "floating lily pads" for grown-up, but add cup-holders! She was so tired when we finally got finished. I thought I would share the pictures of my little tired swimmer!

Hello Fabulous!

I finally got my new car, and I LOVE IT, however I do feel like I am cheating on my Land Rover. I found out yesterday she was sent to the auction, and it made me so sad, I guess that is where old tired cars go, I just hope that they fix her up real nice and sell her to some young kid who just got their license and will take good car of her. I sure am glad they don't send us off to auction when we get old and tired, I would for sure be on my way there now..just kidding, I am just stating to panic about turning 30 in 3 months. Anyway back to the new car, it drives great and I feel like the king of the road, I am still not sure how to operate all the buttons and gadgets on the inside, any help would be much appreciated! I think Reese likes it to, her car seat fits much better in it, it used to flip over on its side in the old car when I made sharp turns..of course with her not in it!! Well, better get back to work, if anybody is in the market for a slightly old, but much loved Land Rover, I know where you can get a great one!

Big Girl and Bottles

Last night we took Reese swimming over at Nana & Papaw's house ( Blaine's parents) She had so much fun and needless to say she slept like a rock, we put her down at 8:30 when we got home and she did not make a peep until 7:30, I actually rolled over at one point and asked Blaine if he thought our baby was dead, she NEVER sleeps that late. Finally about 7:30 she started talking, I could see her on the monitor wiggling around and I knew there is only about a 10 minute window before she realizes that she is hungry and starts screaming. I went and got her and brought her downstairs, changed an award winning wet diaper and went to warm up her bottle. I was running behind as usual this morning and rushing around like crazy trying to get her fed and me dressed and ready for work. I gave Reese her bottle not even paying attention, I let go and she held it and fed herself, she did it like a pro. Blaine was there for back-up in case she got tired. I was so excited and sad at the same time, she is getting more self sufficient everyday, but that also means she is growing up so fast. I used to complain about holding her bottles and her drinking slow, and now she does not even need me. Blaine could not understand why I was so sad, he thinks it is great that she can feed herself, but it still makes me a little weepy. Slow down sister!

Ode to The Land Rover

Today was a very sad day for me, I traded in my "baby" my very most favorite car ever, my Land Rover. This was the first car that I ever bought by myself and I LOVED it! I have had it for almost 6 years and the warranty just ran out on it, and anybody who has ever owned ones of the vechicles knows how expensive they are to repair not to mention nobody in Hattiesburg services them . It broke down about a week ago and that was what really got Blaine and I on the new car hunt! I had to go and clean it out today because we did buy a new car, and I was very sad the whole time I was getting all my stuff out of it. I have lots of great memories from that car, met Blaine, got married, built a house, and had a baby! This new car has a lot to live up to! I will post new pictures once I get them. Here are a few I took today as I was telling her good bye:(

Watermelon and Swimming Pools!

Blaine and I went to jackson this past weekend to visit GG and Doc (my parents) along with aunt Jenny and Leslie. We had so much fun, Reese got to swim in the pool for the first time, and I have to say I might see an olympic gold medal in her future, she is quite the little kicker. Blaine and I got hungry and decided to get a quick bite, mom said she would " love" to watch Reese while we were gone. We came back and and Reese was ATTACKING a watermelon, mom said it was harmless and no worse than the french fry she gave her the night before, thanks GG. we think we will stick to baby food for the next few months!
